Cape Verde ruling party congress to pay tribute to ex-president
Cape Verde  | 4/19/2013 12:32:15 PM The 13th ordinary congress of the African Party for the Independence of Cape Verde (PAIVC), which has been in power since 2011, opened on Friday in the capital Praia with participants paying tribute to the country's third president, Pedro Pires.

The mission met with the Minister of Finance and Planning Cristina Duarte, Central Bank Governor Carlos de Burgo, other government officials, parliamentarians and representatives of civil society, development partners, and the private sector. The mission would like to thank the authorities for their excellent cooperation and hospitality.
