Africa’s three largest airlines discuss formation of consortium to serve continent

The three biggest airlines in Africa ; Egypt Air, South African Airways and Ethiopian Airlines, are currently looking seriously towards the establishment of a multi-national consortium of air transport services for countries of Central and West Africa.


Egyptian official sources in the field of aviation told reporters on Sunday in Cairo that the senior administrators of the three companies are currently holding talks to set up this African multi-national Consortium to provide air transport services for Western and Central Africa.

It is worth mentioning that Egypt Air and South African Airways are already members of the Star Allianz network.
