Gunmen kill five tourists in northern Ethiopia
|

| Gunmen killed five tourists in northern Ethiopia late Monday, local television reported on Tuesday.
|
|
The Ethiopian Television quoted the country's Ministry of Defense as reporting that the five were among a group of eight foreign nationals. They were attacked near the border of Eritrea.
Two injured tourists were brought to a health clinic with critical condition and another in the group survived the attack unharmed, the TV added.
The TV said the attackers had crossed into Ethiopia from neighboring Eritrea.
It was unclear about the nationality of the five killed foreign tourists at the moment.

German, Ethiopian banks signs guarantee agreement
The Oromia International Bank of Ethiopia (OIB) and the German Development Bank, or Entwicklungsbank (KfW), on Tuesday signed a Credit Guarantee Framework Agreement for loans of OIB to Microfinance Institutions (MFIs). On behalf of the German government, KfW signed an agreement with the government of Ethiopia to bridge funding gaps of MFIs, according to the German bank.
