Members of Guinea-Bissau's former ruling party prohibited from leaving country

Some 58 leaders and supporters of the African Party for the Independence of Guinea and Cape Verde (PAIGC), which was in power in Guinea-Bissau before the April 12 coup d'etat, have been banned from travelling outside the national territory, a statement from the military leaders who carried out the coup d'etat said on Tuesday.

Algeria's Constitutional Council proclaimed on Tuesday the official results of the May 10 legislative elections, which saw the winning National Liberation Front (FLN) consolidating its top position in the new parliament as it has been attributed one more seat.
